Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LayerFlow ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information. LayerFlow is a sole-operator web design, SEO and IT business based in Endeavour Hills, Victoria, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer enquiries and provide our services. That includes:

• Details you give us through our forms or by email — your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you tell us about what you need.
• How you heard about us (e.g. a referrer's name), if you choose to share it.
• Technical and usage data collected automatically when you visit the site — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you got here — via cookies and analytics tools.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes, mockups and proposals.
• To deliver and manage the services you engage us for.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To measure and improve our advertising (where you've consented to ad cookies).

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't send marketing emails you didn't ask for.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand site usage, and we may use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure advertising. These tools set cookies and may collect usage data. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies won't stop you using the site.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. They only get the data needed to do their job:

• Vercel — website hosting.
• Resend — sending and delivering form/enquiry emails.
• Google — Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console.
• Meta — advertising measurement (Pixel), if running ads.

Some of these providers store or process data overseas. We only use reputable providers, but by using the site you acknowledge your information may be handled outside Australia.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete it. Analytics data is retained according to the provider's standard settings.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email hello@layerflow.com.auand we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can be completely secure. If a data breach ever occurs that's likely to cause serious harm, we'll act in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives on this page with the "last updated" date above.
